  • This marked the 20th anniversary of the contest.
  • An alternative theme that was considered for this year was "I Know What You Did Last Trivia."
  • Team GDI-L (the L stands for Luddites) decided to compete without using the Internet.
  • Trivia's in-house band, Shake A Hamster Band, released its first CD, "Hamsterdam," with songs from 1987 to 1998.
  • The KVSC Trivia Hall of Fame began this year with honors going to founder Mike McMenamin, team GDI, and volunteer Charlie Chirhart (aka Darth Raider).
  • First of five wins for Learned Pigs and Fireproof Women.
