First Lawrence Hall and the Old Main building, 1902

In the summer of 1902, the original 1874 section (middle) of the Old Main building was reconfigured. The process eliminated the large outdoor steps, removed the front tower, roof and roofline changed, and added a cupola, all made to match the style of the additions.

Along with the first Lawrence Hall, campus appeared like this from 1902 to 1905.
