Welcome to Native SCSU
What makes the St. Cloud area, and St. Cloud State University, in particular, an indigenous place?
Native SCSU was developed to illuminate the Native history and experience in this region through deeper investigation of sites, events, natural features, and people of the St. Cloud area. Students were asked to develop a brief analysis and interpretation for these topics written for a general audience.
Native SCSU is a collaborative project developed by students in the Native Nations of Minnesota class in the Department of Ethnic, Gender, and Women’s Studies at St. Cloud State University. This project began in spring 2017 and is an ongoing effort. Students will add new topics or further develop existing topics as the class is taught in the future.
